Medco was founded in 1979. Since then, we have been growing up steadily, being today the oldest and leading shipbrokers in Spain.

Based in Madrid, Medco is member of Intertanko, Bimco and Ancor.

The company is involved in two areas of business: “tanker chartering” and “sale and purchase”.

Both departments are supported by the long experience of our staff, which allows us, to give a professional service to our worldwide shipping clients, and to provide them with the tailored service that sometimes the large companies cannot provide.

As Charterer's brokers, we are specifically involved in the transportation of crude oil and petroleum products.

In crude, we are particularly busy in the Mediterranean, Waf and Ecmex areas, where we have a strong presence in aframax and suezmax trades.

On the products side (clean and dirty), we are very active in the ukc, Mediterranean, transatlantic and caribbean trade, which has enabled us to develop much expertise in these areas.



We follow up-to-the-minute changes in vessel availability in these areas, and consequently, we are able to issue frequent and accurate position lists.

In addition, we also produce a market report in both product and crude areas which, together with our position lists, we are proud to say are in high demand by many Owners and Charterers around the world.
